Panjab University
The glorious traditions of Panjab University, since its inception in 1882 at Lahore (now in Pakistan), are a source of inspiration for the present generation of faculty members and students. By virtue of its age, experience, achievements and philosophy, Panjab University is a university of national character and International stature, with faculty and students drawn from all over the country and abroad. Recently, it has been bestowed with PURSE award by DST, Government of India in recognition of its contribution to Science and Technology.
About the Department of Psychology
The Department of Psychology was originally started at Lahore (now in Pakistan) in 1929. With the starting of the University at Chandigarh, the department was re-established in 1959. It is known for research and teaching in basic as well as applied fields. The quality of faculty, researchers and students has given it an edge in the region.
About the Conference
The prime focus of the Conference is on applied psychology with emphasis on linkage of psychology with other sciences.
